We are living in a challenging period with the Coronavirus causing us all distress and uncertainty. In these difficult times, it’s often our mental health that suffers. It’s important for us to be aware of the impact and, while we respond to some of the challenges we face, also tend to our mental health.
Mental Health and the Coronavirus
There are a few simple things we can do to maintain our mental health in these stressful times. A few options include:
- Meditation
- Connecting with others
- Keeping your mind stimulated
- Setting a routine for your day (especially if it’s been disrupted by working from home)
Mental Health Resources
I wanted to share some more detailed resources for you. The first is a meditation by Dr Rick Hanson which focuses on helping you be aware but not consumed by any sensations of fear and anxiety.
In addition, mind.org have published a very helpful article about things you could be doing to help maintain a sense of wellbeing during this difficult time.
Stay safe, and take care of your physical and mental wellbeing at this difficult time.
