I have worked as a Counselling Psychologist for the NHS, the Priory Hospital Group and also in private practice. I specialise in Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioural and Humanistic Therapies.

I treat problems in the here-and-now such as: (i) adjusting to traumatic life events (PTSD, loss and bereavement), (ii) anxiety management (panic, avoidance, OCD), as well as longer term problems such as (iii) low self-esteem, eating disturbances, mood disturbances and interpersonal stresses. I specialize in working with adult individuals.

My approach is relational and collaborative where the patient and I make sense of difficulties – where they come from, what keeps them going, what makes it hard to let them go – and in this way, find other ways of being in the world that are not self-defeating, painful or disheartening. My Experience

I gained my early experience working for the NHS in Primary care counselling services linked to GP practices and psychotherapy services.

I worked for the Priory Hospital Group for 5 years as an individual and group therapist. I facilitated group therapy for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder, mindfulness, relationship issues and relapse prevention, mainly working from a cognitive behavioural approach. In my individual client work, I tend to work from an integrative perspective, drawing from Psychodynamic, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy and Humanistic approaches, depending upon the issue and what suits the client best. I currently work privately at the Priory Hospital, Woking and for The Psychology Company on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I work with clients aged 18 and over.

I have chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS), am accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the regulatory body for psychologists in the UK and am covered by all the leading private health-insurance companies, including BUPA and AXA-PPP.
