I am an Integrative Therapist which means I draw on many established and evidence based models (for example Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Existential Therapy) that might (for example) explore historic events to understand the roots of one’s issues, and perhaps then explore techniques that find solutions that are meaningful and helpful. Therapy with me is very much a collaborative experience as I do not sit quietly for hours on end, though I willingly facilitate your own journey to wellness. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) – an NHS NICE Guideline treatment for trauma.
I am an experienced clinician having worked with Acute and Enduring Mental Health teams within the NHS and draw on many years of practice. I endeavour to be the best therapist I can through being my congruent, imperfect self and honing my skills through keen engagement with you, reflective practice and relevant Continuing Professional Development.
